Jungle Habitat, New Jersey

In the summer of 1972 Warner Brothers built an Animal Habitat  for visitors to have African like experiences. In November 1972 the park was closed after many incidents happened. Warner Brothers had a great idea of making a Jungle Walk where you could drive in a taxi and walk through.
The idea was really great until things started to happen to people walking around and being stupid and not paying attention.

In October 19, 1972 a tourist was attacked in his taxi by a tiger and sued the park. In 1974 a woman was bitten by a baby elephant who reached out of an enclosure and grabbed her with his trunk. It then bit her and she sued for 200, 000. Later, a plague was brought to the park and all the problems started to pile on.

When the park was closed in November 1972 and the animals were left to rot! A few years later some random people were walking around the old park and came across an elephant carcass and tiger remains. The park is still there today and you can see bones of the old, dead, animals and even the remains of the costumes. It's really cool, and in New Jersey so it's closer than anything else I've blogged about. You should visit. Careful though, some people got tuberculous and children died.

Dadipark, Belgium

In 1950 the Dadipark playground was built for bored church children. Then in 1980 they took out the playground equipment and put in amusement park rides. The people of Basilica found that they would love their new private park. It actually had a steady flow of cash for a few years since the park. opened.
In the years since the parks opening safety concerns have been apparent to everyone and the park wasn't the best thing for their children. In 2000 a boy lost his arm on the water ride the Nautic Jet and two years later parents had the amusement park closed down due to safety precautions.

EXTRA:
Disneyland, a fun family experience for all, has had their fair share of deaths. They usually don't happen at the park and happen at hospitals but the injures are pretty brutal. In June 1966 on Grad Night a 19-year-old form Northridge, California climbed up on the Monorail. Even though security guards shouted for him to get down he didn't. The Monorail hit him and dragged him 30 to 40 feet.  The Security Guard in question later said he had to "hose the kid off the underside

Pripyat Park, Ukraine

The park was due to open May 1, 1986 for May Day but was never given the chance. On April 26, 1986 the Chernobyl disaster occurred only a few kilometers away. The park opened on April 27 to keep the city people happy until they were told to pack up and leave their homes.
Many years later the Pripyat Park still remains. Where the attractions were built is high level radiation area and is really dangerous to go there. Another freaky thing is that nature has taken over. It feels like everything has become one with nature through the rust and loneliness the park represents.
The, would be, park is used in many different films and a few video games. Even though it is highly dangerous many people travel there every year to see the ruins of the Chernobyl Disaster.
The attractions of the park include a Ferris Wheel, bumper cars, swing boats, and a paratrooper ride. All the rides look extremely depressing due to the fact that children's toys are scattered around the area.
If you want to see Pripyat for yourself you can book a tour at Chernobyl Tour. You can take the day trip or stay in the "safe zone" near Pripyat for several days.
I hear it's really worth the trip and radiation issues after. So go visit and let your horror filled mind run with the wild.
